The Big Easy Entertainment Awards is the only annual awards program in metropolitan New Orleans that recognizes accomplishments in both music and theatre. Proceeds benefit the Foundation for Entertainment Development and Education.

The 2 events bring artists from these fields together under one roof to celebrate the best of the best. The evening galas include live entertainment (from selected nominees) along with national celebrities who present more than 45 awards in music and theatre.

High-quality production standards have earned the 2 events acclaim and loyalty from the entertainment community over the past 18 years.

In 1992, Business Recognition Awards were inaugurated to applaud the efforts of businesses that use New Orleans talent in their advertising and promotional campaigns. Businesses that contribute greatly to the preservation and development of the performing arts in New Orleans are also recognized.

Held the Monday and Tuesday before the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, The Big Easy Entertainment Awards 19th edition tickets were $125 and included buffet dinners, open bars and after-parties. Attendance for the two events exceeded 1,200. Proceeds benefit the Foundation for Entertainment Development and Education.
